Desire Path #19
Hello friends, welcome to another issue of Desire Path — a newsletter for photographers and photography enthusiasts interested in NFTs and web3.
Two Crossed Paths
Left: “Flitzie, The Jumping Cat” by Koekkoek
Right: “CRYSTAL BALL OPERATOR Glastonbury England 2003” by Neil Massey
Three Photo Projects
“Museum of Dust & Ashes” by Roman Bordun. The destruction left in the unoccupied north of Ukraine is now being visited by politicians and journalists resembling museum-goers. A previously domestic life has become a tourist attraction. Bordun questions the private side of tragedy – “when and how did the sense of normality cease to exist?”
“Song of a Southern Dream” by Felix Denomme. Photographs taken during a road trip through the Southwest United States that document Denomme’s interaction with a place that previously existed only in his dreams from boyhood.
“Covers” by Alex Bartsch. A project that was born in 2014 documenting album covers rephotographed in their original locations around the world. The collection of images presents the viewer windows into the past, documenting the passing of time and augmenting the significance of geographical areas of the city and their relation to music.
Four Art Projects
“Mambrino after Stubbs” by Lola Dupre. Paper collage on wood panel.
“Chimera” by Solyaev. Creatures found at the intersection of human imagination and AI.
“Digital Paintings” by Luca Boni.
