Desire Path #15
Hello friends, welcome to another issue of Desire Path — a newsletter for photographers and photography aficionados interested in NFTs and web3.
Two Crossed Paths
“Dark Side” by Cody Cobb portrays the transformed land of the American West. The falloff of red and blue light exposes silhouettes of behemoths suspended in geologic time. This light only reveals more darkness.
“Private transmissions” by Anass Ouaziz is a collection of mixed emotions expressed to the fullest. At times fueled by fear, anguish, and despair, but at other times, driven by hope and the desire to reach inner peace.
Three Photo Projects
“PRESENCE” by Eman Ali is an ongoing collection of self-portraits that reclaim her own narrative and presence as an Arab woman. Eman transforms herself into different characters through her work that is rooted in architecture, film, performance, and literature.
“Glue 🔫, paper 📦, scissors ✂️” by Spasi Sohrani. Tatyana uses the tools she always has in her handbag to create playful costumes. The project is about believing in yourself and taking life less seriously.
“simple things” by Nazar Furyk draws attention to the surreal life of the objects around us and their strange power.
Four Art Projects
“Searching for Home” by Taysa Jorge is a compilation of works created in 2022 that represents the incessant need of finding a home.
“Digitization” by NOCELLCOVERAGE is an ongoing archive of non-digital, analog materials, to digital format. The project seeks to create new passageways that unify education and aesthetics.
“In Dreams” by Rene Chaffins. A place where dreams melt into reality and nothing is what it seems. This piece is part of a larger series of surreal dreamscapes that explore the interplay between nature and architecture.
“ICON/COLLECTIVE” by Sandra Suy is a personal tribute to the icons and myyths that inspire Sandra in her work and life. To those moments when fashion, music, and cinema offer a magical vision of the world.
